The rules

Now for the important part - the rules! If these sounds strict I'm sorry, most of them are pretty clear cut and typical for breeders, and most of them are rules that most people follow anyways. Like I've said before, I don't take litter requests at the moment but I will keep suggestions in mind (some breeds I'm really protective of and will be pretty picky about who gets a pup/kitten, just a warning). This looks really long, but I promise it's not that daunting. I'm just long winded and like fully explaining things to make sure everything's clear.

Adoption Rules

  • The puppy or kitten MUST be shown in the PKC until it finishes his/her championship. Other titles are wonderful but conformation is a must.
  • Do not breed the puppy or kitten until it is a PKC champion.
  • All puppies and kittens will be .pet hexed before being sent out to correct any faults or disqualifications. If that is a problem, contact me and I'll do my best to work something out, though your options may be limited. There are some breeds (SN Abys and Somalis come to mind) that are just so hard to get A-reg offspring from that I just won't breed without .pet editing the babies. Do NOT steal any part of my hexing or edit your puppy/kitten at all (unless it's to fix a texture path).
  • My prefix is to be the only prefix used on the pet. I'll let you know which prefix to use, but it will generally be Sun Shower for dogs and Finesse for cats (Armana, Alegria, and Massriya have their own sites where adoptions will take place). I typically don't require my prefix to be used in a 1st gen hexed pet.
  • All puppies and kittens will be registered by me before being sent out. Please do not remove me as their breeder.
  • If a pet you've adopted from me is ever bred, I would appreciate the option of a puppy/kitten from that litter.
  • Due to the lack of backwards compatibility, I will only adopt out to Petz 3/4 homes. Sorry Petz 5, but not only would I appreciate the option of having a puppy/kitten back from a pet I bred, but I want to make sure I'll be able to take the pet back if you can't keep it.
  • On that note, if you ever find yourself unable to finish showing a pet bred by me, I will take it back with no questions asked (and it won't count against you in future adoptions). I also try to keep backups of every pet I breed so if your computer ever crashes or something let me know and I'll see if I still have the file.

Stud/Dam Rules

  • Your dog or cat must at least be a PKC champion. I will not breed a pet before it's finished and I will not allow my pet to be bred to an outside pet who isn't at least a champion.
  • I also will generally only allow my pet to be bred to another pet of equal generation. I put a big emphasis on full pedigrees and would really like all pets I breed to have full pedigrees. If there is a reason why you aren't aiming for full pedigrees let me know and I may make an exception.
  • If a public litter is bred from one of my pets I would like to have a say in who adopts the offspring. It is important to me that all pets I bred from mine achieve their championships and I don't want them going to people who are not dedicated enough to do so.
  • For the most part I would prefer that if you use one of my studs that you not breed a public litter and instead just keep it to a pet for you and a pet for me.
  • Breeding will take place on your computer and it is up to you to brex the puppies or kittens.
  • I would like the option of the second pick of the litter (though I may not take it as I already have my breeding plans written out).
  • I ask that if you want to breed to one of my WC winners, that your pet also have a WC win.
  • Your prefix can be the main one but I would like it if you would also include mine somewhere in the pets' show names. I will let you know which prefix to use.
  • If down the road you find that you just can't finish the pet that we co-bred, I would be more than happy to take that pet back and finish it. As long as it finishes, it drives me crazy to have offspring listed for my pet that are just sitting there and don't have their championship title and probably never will.
In addition to my rules, I have no problem whatsoever mixing files. If you show a different file than me but are still interested in a pet from a breeding, I would be more than happy to .pet hex the puppy/kitten so that its whatever file you show. They'll still technically be from my file and you'll have to have both files in your game (and the game will consider offspring bred from the edited pet and your file mixed breeds) but if none of that bothers you it definitely doesn't bother me. In addition if you want to breed your pet to one of mine and they're different files, I have no problem with that. Yay for .pet editing being allowed in the PKC!
